PISA, 80 KM

The stunning leaning tower has turned Pisa a well-known destination in every part of the globe. Built in 1173, it is not clear yet who was commissioned to complete the work of the imposing tower, with a total height of 57 meters. For many years, up to the recent works, the project was attributed to Vasari, but more likely the tower was built by Bonanno Pisano. A few steps away, you can admire the imposing Cathedral and the Baptistery. Along the perimeter of the square you will also find the Camposanto and the Museo Dell'Opera del Duomo.
