SIENA, 50 KM

To describe Siena it is necessary to start from its main square, Piazza del Campo, with that typical shell shape, the same where the well-known Palio takes place, full of restaurants and cafés, where tourists stop to admire the surrounding monuments and the imposing Tower of Mangia. The Palio is an event so closely linked to the city. This competition between districts consists of running three times around the square, riding the horse without saddle. It takes place twice a year, on the 2nd of July and the 16th of August.
