Salvucci Tower, the only entirely habitable tower of San Gimignano
Once belonging to the Salvucci family, wealthy merchants of spices and fabrics in medieval times, the tower required a historical-conservative restoration that lasted over four years and ended in the early 1990s. Today, each floor of the tower corresponds to a different and equipped room, making the tower a real vertical house. The stairs are steep and not too comfortable, however they undoubtedly contribute to creating that magical atmosphere that only who stay here can experience. From the panoramic rooftop, at a height of 42 mt, you can admire sunrises, sunsets and starry skies, surrounded by the other towers that soar towards the sky and an incredibly unique view above San Gimignano.
USEFUL INFO: If you're looking for modern comforts or luxury, this is not the place for you. Please be also informed that if you suffer from claustrophobia or vertigo, staying here it is not recommended. The tower is not suitable for stays with children under 12. Pets are not allowed.

The Salvucci Tower has two large windows respectively located on the first and sixth floors, already existing before the restoration. It is thanks to this characteristic if today the tower is entirely habitable and the only one where you can stay overnight. The accommodation does not have air conditioning. However, guests can benefit from some fans working with refrigerated air. Instead, there is centralized heating
From the first to the eleventh floor, you will have the entire tower for your exclusive use. The small slit windows, the massive stone walls and items of furniture such as spear-shaped lamps, particularly evoke that charm of ancient times
There are no doors from one floor to another and an iron staircase connects all floors of the tower. The stairs are steep and not too comfortable, however they undoubtedly contribute to creating that magical atmosphere that only those who stay here can experience
Ideal for celebrating your most special moments, the panoramic rooftop represents the real highlight of the accommodation. From its 42mt of height the views are simply wonderful. In summertime, upon request (with extra charge), a private chef can cook here, for you, an exclusive dinner with typical Tuscan dishes. It will be definitely a unique and magical moment, ideal for celebrating special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or proposals. Always separately (with extra charge), it is also possible to ask for a professional photographer who will capture this evening forever. In case of bad weather or in winter time, the dinner can be conveniently moved to the first floor of the tower, fully heated
